HALLOWEEN PARADE

We have not done a Halloween parade in years and it was so much fun to see all the creative costumes. We played pass the witches broomstick and Sally go round the witch. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!!!

Field trip to the Dinosaur Park.

We had soooo....much fun at the dinosaur park. We learned that the Utah raptor is the most fierce dinosaur. We also learned how each period the dinosaurs grew very mean so we spotted dinosaurs and played mean, meaner , meanest according to the period they lived. We also loved the spooks!!!

Perfect Patterns

We have been learning about patterns. We learned that they repeat and each pattern has a core, the core is the part that repeats.

Welcome to first grade

My name is Suzanne Mart and I have been teaching at Willow Canyon for a very long time!!!!
I love teaching first grade. I feel I have the best job in the world. I wish everyone had the opportunity to see the face of a child who grasps a new concept or experiences the love of learning. I feel that I am the guide on the side in children's learning.
I am married to Gordon and we have 2 boys who are attending college. Gordon and I are official empty nesters, I can't believe how fast the time has gone by from the time both boys were in first grade until now. Enjoy your child now they grow so fast!!!!!!
